Maxa Technologies (Maxatec) is pleased to announce the release of a new spill guard protector from CognitiveTPG. This new accessory is designed to add a new level of protection from environmental hazards.
The spill guard is easy to install and offers extra defence against everyday spills and splashes that are particularly inherent in the hospitality food service industry.
The CognitiveTPG POS printers are designed with built-in internal and external dams and gutters to prevent damage to the print mechanism. The new spill guard accessory complements these features to provide added protection and ensure continuous printing even in the most challenging environment. The spill guard’s low profile means the printer maintains its same compact height, while the translucent cover allows for visual confirmation of the printed receipt and printer status.
The spill guard has gone through rigorous testing, and according to CognitiveTPG Product Manager, Roman Dziaba, it was exposed to environments that not even the busiest kitchen would endure. Independent testing confirmed it meets IPX2 water ingress standards.
Angela Mansfield-Swanson, Marketing Director for CognitiveTPG, told Maxatec: ”Restaurant and fast food environments suffer more damage to their printers than most, typically as the result of accidental spills. Accident or not, we don’t want our customers’ operations compromised or employees dismissed if such occurrences can be mitigated through better design. The spill guard is the most economical and effective solution for uninterrupted receipt printing and we back that statement with a 2 year warranty against spill damage on both the A798 and A799.”
A video introduction to the spill guard and a demonstration of the simple installation process can be found on the Maxatec YouTube Channel.
